I love food. Who doesn’t? More and more often I find myself cooking and trying out new things, mostly from random ideas or things I’ve eaten out that I’ve looked up recipes on the internet. Most of the time, I make some changes to it to make it my own or because I don’t like or can’t have certain ingredients. My mother for example is intolerant to onions and garlic so this usually gets removed or substituted, but tastes just as good if not better.
Often I forget what I did, what I put in things, etc, so I’ve decided to start posting up my own recipes on this site. More so for myself so I can remember what I did, but also so that I can share my variations with the world.
To start with, I have posted up a recipe for Carbonades Flamande, also known in the English speaking world as Flemish Beef Stew. I’ve recently been on a day trip to Bruges and this is a popular dish made with dark Belgian abbey-style beer.
